Wizards Brew

We sometimes stumble upon a new beer worth trying when we least expect it. While walking down Diagon Alley in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (Universal Studios, Orlando, FL) I worked up a thirst. Having heard all the buzz about Butterbeer sold in several locations thoughout Hogsmeade I ducked into the Hopping Pot to try a glass. While the muggle poured me a glass with just the right amount of foam I noticed on the wall behind her there were a number of taps including one labeled Dragon Scale and another Wizards Brew. After I finished my glass of sweet creamy butterbeer I returned to the line to get a pint of Wizards Brew. It was a pleasant surprise for theme park beer. It was a dark stout with notes of coffee and chocolate, not bitter ($9). I was told it is an exclusive brew made for Universal by the Florida Beer Company, who previously s Head Ale, Duff, Duff Lite, and Duff Dry for the park. Somehow sitting in Wizards World watching countless cape wearing, wand waving wizards testing their spell casting skills, downing a smooth pint of stout somehow just made the experience that much more magical.
